What is a "Mesh Device"?

Short Definition

A mesh device is a networked device that is part of a decentralized Bluetooth® Mesh network. It can communicate with other devices in the network, relay messages, and contributes to the self-organization and stability of the network.

Detailed explanation

Häfele Connect Mesh devices are devices that use the official Bluetooth® Mesh standard certified by the Bluetooth® SIG. This standard is also adopted by other device manufacturers (e.g., JUNG, Steinel). Devices from Häfele that have "Connect Mesh" in their name and devices from other providers within the Blue Mesh working group are supported in the Connect Mesh App.

There are many devices on the market that claim to be Bluetooth® Mesh-capable but do not comply with the official standard and do not have SIG certification. These devices are not compatible. An incompatible device will not appear in the list when searching for new devices with the App.
