What is "Setup Mode"?

"Setup Mode" is a mode in the Connect Mesh App that is used to create and edit a network as an administrator.

When creating a new network, the app is always initially in setup mode. If you want to import an existing network and edit it, you can switch to settings by pressing the 'Settings' icon (top right). There, switch from control mode to setup mode.

The Setup Mode allows you quick access to all setup relevant areas, such as the view of the devices with their configured lights, switches, and sensors. The setup mode also provides a quick overview of the number of configured devices, groups and scenes, whether devices need to be updated, or if devices have weak batteries.

In control mode, devices are generally hidden. Instead, control is only performed via rooms, groups, and scenes. If a device is to be controlled individually, it can be set as a favorite in the Dashboard/Home menu. From then on, it will appear in the 'Devices' section of the Dashboard/Home menu.
