What are "Scenes"?

Short Definition

A scene is a specific state of all devices that are participating in it which can be activated with one tap.

Scenes

In a scene, the state of all participating devices is saved and can be retrieved at any time with the push of a button. This also includes devices that were, for example, "Off" during the saving of the scene. This state is restored as soon as the scene is called up. Scenes can therefore only be called up, but never "switched off". However, if you still want to switch off all devices that belong to a scene, you have two options:

  • You create a scene where all desired devices are "Off"
  • You create a group in which all desired devices are members

When creating a scene, you must first select all devices that should participate in this scene. You can then individually adjust each device and save this setting at the end.

A scene can simply be marked as a favourite (In control mode: Star symbol top right), so that it appears for quick access on the Home-Screen.

tip

Set the state of the lights that are participating in your scene beforehand via the room or group control to the desired values. So, you only need to set individual devices in the scene settings, if necessary.

info

With the new app 2.0 version, the scene concept was revised, so that it is no longer necessarily linked to a group, as was the case previously in the app 1.x version.
