How to Properly Place Devices?
Correct positioning and alignment of the devices is important for the best possible wireless connection between all devices.
Avoid the following installation situations:
- directly on the (concrete) floor
- near metal appliances (e.g. refrigerator, cooker, etc.)
- near the microwave.
We recommend positions that allow the appliances the best possible radio propagation, e.g.
- on the wall unit
- on the rear wall of the furniture
- in the suspended ceiling, etc. Ceiling lights with Bluetooth® Mesh therefore contribute optimally to good wireless coverage.
The more devices are evenly distributed in a room, the more stable the wireless connection of the devices will be. It is therefore important that not all devices are placed in one spot, but are distributed evenly throughout the room. However, only permanently powered devices contribute to the wireless network. Battery-operated devices only wake up briefly when operated and then go back into sleep mode.
