Manage Networks
You can manage many different mesh networks with the Häfele Connect Mesh app. However, you can only be connected to one network at a time with the app.
How do I create a new network?
App version: 2.2
If you are currently editing another network and want to create a new one, proceed as follows:
- Go to the settings (top right)
- Press on 'Leave'
To create a new network:
- Add a new network by pressing the '+' button
- Select 'Create new network'
- Assign a name
- Select all rooms
- Tap 'Create network'
How do I import a network?
If you already have an existing mesh network, you can import it:
- Add a existing network by pressing the '+' button on the "Networks" page
- Select one of the available options:
You can also migrate a network that you have already created with the previous version of the Häfele Connect Mesh app, version 1.x. You can find out how this works here.
Import local network
Select the existing .connect file from your internal storage and import it. The import process will start and run through automatically.
Scan QR code
A QR scanner opens up and you can now scan the QR code related to the network you want to import. The import process will start and run through automatically once a valid QR code was recognized.
How do I create a backup of a network?
Save to Connect Mesh Cloud
App version: 2.2
Sign up or log in to the Connect Mesh Cloud to save your networks. This is an easy and secure way to back up your networks and transfer them to multiple devices.
Follow these steps to upload a network to the cloud:
- Go to 'Settings'
- Tap on the avatar icon in the top right corner
- Sign up or log in to your Connect Mesh Cloud account
- Once logged in, navigate to the Networks Overview page (leave the current network if needed)
- In the networks list, press the cloud icon next to your preferred local network to upload it
Save the network file
App version: 2.2
Export the .connect file to your smartphone and save it in a secure folder or cloud drive. Select 'Share network' to trigger the export.
The export can be triggered:
- On the dashboard in setup mode
- In the settings within the network
- On the overview page of the networks
How do I delete a network?
To delete a network, proceed as follows:
- Open the app settings (cogwheel icon at the top right)
- 'Leave' the current network
- Select the desired network and press 'Forget'.
Please note: If you delete a network from the app, your Mesh devices will continue to work. However, you can no longer control or change the network with the app. In this case, you must manually reset all devices and add them to a new network.
Archive Network
You can archive networks that you have commissioned. These are then moved to the "Archive" list. This allows you to distinguish active networks from archived ones.
